Abstract An Internet-based experiment was conducted in October 2004 with 2.444 subjects belonging to a spanish online panel. A total of 60 different forms containing questions that tested several intertemporal choice models were administered via web during two weeks. The invitation was done via email under three different conditions to test the effect of incentives and the immediacy of the prize draw occurrence. This talk will consist of describing the online experimental design (randomization of items, uniqueness of responses, survey navigation options, piping from previous answers), and presenting the lessons to be extracted from both the alternative invitation conditions and the different conditions of the questions order. Also, all fieldwork data (response rate, opened emails rate, response curve) will be presented and related to sociodemographics, so as to discuss the conveniency of using Online Panels to conduct social science experiments.
